Mission to Africa ...
In the mid-80s, I experienced a life changing event in which I was the first healthcare worker in the U.S. to be diagnosed HIV positive. Due to my incident, I felt called to help the orphans in Africa who had lost their parents to AIDS. In September 2005, I returned from volunteering for a month in Zambia.

Did you realize?
• 600,000 orphans are estimated in Zambia alone
• 80% of Zambians live on less than $1 day
• It only cost $25 to educate a child for a year. (Includes: School fees, 2 uniforms, shoes and books)
Keep Shedding Foundation's goal: Send 10,000 kids to school.
Will you help us?!
Funds will be directly sent to the Integrated AIDS Program in Zambia where orphans will be educated. Documentation of each child's school fee and uniform will be made back to Keep Shedding Foundation.
• Hear an orphan's letter
• Watch Kathy and Sister Prisca from the orphanage
• What will an education do for a child?
• How do I know if these kids will get my money?
• How does $25 send these kids to school?
How many children will you help educate?

Foundation Inspiration
The establishment of Keep Shedding Foundation was inspired from the life of a dear freind John McCallie Bolinger MD.
John McCallie Bolinger, MD, (1949-2005) faithfully dedicated his life and work in the field of psychiatry to helping adolescents who were too poor in spirit and finances to dream. With incredible generosity, he quietly paid for the education of scores of young people so they could attend private high schools and colleges. "Dr. Bolinger saved my life," is heard by many whose path he crossed. His boundless good cheer and unshakable belief in a world that holds hope for everyone inspired many to climb up unimaginable heights. His infectious laugh, loving heart, and generous spirit lives on in the multitude of lives he touched. Learn more by visiting John's blog.
